During the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons, we worked with the Ballet Austin team to produce and manage all of their special events. In addition to coordinating all of the events associated with performances, we also crafted the 2007 and 2008 Fête.
During the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons, we worked with the Ballet Austin team to produce and manage all of their special events. In addition to coordinating all of the events associated with performances, we also crafted the 2007 and 2008 Fête.
As the signature fundraising event for the Ballet, Fête has repeatedly been voted Austin’s Best Black Tie event. During our two years managing the event, the Austin American-Statesman called it the “Studio 54” of galas, and Fête grossed more than $466,000 for Ballet Austin.
In 2007 we produced White Nights, evoking the grand style of Imperial Russia – complete with snow. In 2008 we were inspired by Frank Sinatra to create Fly Me to the Moon – a throwback to a time of grace, elegance and fun. We developed down-to-the-minute time lines and runs-of-show, budgets, contracts, vendor agreements and volunteer staffing sheets, but nothing really shows off an event like the images from the night.
